Try it yourself!

Three quick experiments you can do right here. No sign-up, no mess, just discovering.

Discovery 01 · About 30 seconds

Light up the circuit

Electricity needs a complete path to flow. Close the switch, then test which things let electricity through the gap.

A circuit with a battery, a switch, a testing gap and a light bulb joined in one loop + − Battery Testing gap Light

Close the switch, then fill the gap

Small classroom batteries are safe for experiments like this. Never play with power points or plugs at home.

Gear workshop

Turn the orange gear and watch the others. Which way do they spin? How fast? Then add a gear in the middle and see what changes.

Build a strong bridge

Pile blocks on a bridge and watch it bend. Then try a support, triangles or an arch. Which design is strongest?

A bridge between two banks with toy blocks on it. The bridge bends more or less depending on its design. Simplified model

Build a strong bridge

This is a simplified model. It shows the pattern, not real engineering numbers. Real bridges are designed by engineers using careful maths and testing.
