Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Spark Logic Academy Pty Ltd (ABN 69 685 480 871), which runs Rocket Brain STEM classes. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Spark Logic Academy Pty Ltd.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry using the form on our Contact page, we collect:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your child's age (we don't ask for your child's name);
• the program you are interested in; and
• your message.

Please don't include sensitive information, or details about your child beyond what is needed, in your message.

When you simply browse the website, we don't ask for any personal information. We don't use analytics or advertising tools, and the website doesn't set cookies or use your browser's local storage.

Like almost every website, our hosting provider's servers automatically record technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These server logs are used to run and secure the website.

3. Why we collect it

We use enquiry details only to:

• reply to your enquiry and help you find a suitable level for your child;
• follow up on your enquiry if you ask us to; and
• keep a record of our communication with you.

We don't sell your information and we don't use it for unrelated marketing.

4. How your enquiry is handled

• When you press "Send enquiry", your details are sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection to our website server.
• The server checks the form and sends your enquiry as one email to our mailbox, info@sparklogicacademy.com.au. Your email address is added as the "reply to" address so we can answer you directly.
• The website itself does not keep a copy of your enquiry. It is stored in our email mailbox.
• To protect the form from spam, the server keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address together with the time of your request. It can't be used to identify you, is not used after one hour, and is deleted automatically the next time the form is used.

5. Who can access it, and service providers

Enquiries are read by the Spark Logic Academy Pty Ltd team who respond to parent enquiries. Our website and email are hosted by Hostinger, which stores and processes this information on our behalf as our service provider. Hostinger's servers may be located in Australia or overseas.

If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp instead, your message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. Links to Google Maps open Google's service, which has its own privacy policy.

We don't otherwise share your information unless you agree, or the law requires or allows it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as we need them to respond to you, manage any follow-up and keep reasonable business records. When we no longer need them, we delete them.

7. Keeping it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. These include secure HTTPS connections, a mail system that requires a password to send, and checks on the form that block spam and misuse. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

This website is designed for parents and carers, and for children exploring with an adult. The enquiry form is for parents and carers only. Children should not send us their own personal information.

9. Photos and videos of students

• We only publish photos or videos in which students can be identified when we have permission to do so.
• We don't name students in photos and we don't say where individual photos were taken.
• If you see a photo or video of your child that you would like removed, please contact us and we will remove it from the website.

10. Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your enquiry. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, and we may need to confirm your identity first.

11. Questions and complaints

If you have a question or a concern about privacy, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example if the website changes. The latest version will always be on this page.
